The first thing I noticed about this sleek little number is the very affordable price tag it carries. Around £200(approximately $312.79)! Whether you’re shopping on a budget or not, you have to admit that this is a very attractive investment price. So what exactly are you getting for under £200?

Do not be fooled into thinking that the low price means you’re getting a substandard product. This netbook is especially a gem for lovers of nature because it is extremely friendly to the environment. It makes use of lithium batteries which are known to be almost non-poisonous as compared to lead acid batteries or other non-lithium alternatives. The fact that lithium cells are made specifically to be recharged over and over again means you probably won’t have to throw it out and can recycle the six cells this netbook uses. Best part is, they can also be used on other devices you have like handheld torches or any other home appliances you have.

When it comes to the technical aspects, you get a 1.66 GHz processor which is just about the same as you would get for a more expensive netbook or even laptop. The internal hard drive has capacity of 250GB which is still respectable for the price of the laptop plus 1GB worth of memory which can easily be upgraded if need be. What this means for you is that the laptop still performs as well as any other when it comes to speed during start-up and even operation with the Windows 7 starter OS that comes along with the Samsung N145.

One of things we’re all worried about is saving and keeping our data safe. With this netbook, you get to save data in what is known as Hybrid sleep mode. Basically, what that means is if anything happens, perhaps you run out of the 10 hours of battery life on a camping trip or something like that, your data is saved on both the hard drive and the memory so that you recover everything you were working on once you start-up the machine again!

My desk top PC packed in on me so I decided to buy this Samsung netbook as a replacement. I was also looking for something more portable but I don’t like those Tablet or Androids PC’s, just no use for typing on.Anyway, after some research I finally decided on this Samsung N145 netbook which I purchased through Amazon. The machine has offered me more than I could have asked for & I’m extremely happy with that I chose this one. I love the clear screen resolution with this netbook which I’ve compared to other netbooks around the same price & found this to be better. It’s very fast for its size & obviously easy to carry around. I’ve plugged it into my desk top PC monitor to watch videos & It has plenty of other connections for things like a mouse & external hard drive. Its a great netbooks under 200 pounds.
